A few months ago I was a Beehive advisor for about a year. In February I got asked if I could be a Cub scout leader and that same week was hit with kidney stones. It felt like I had been hit with 2 sucker punches because I had put my whole heart in this calling. I love these girls and I'm lucky to know that they love me too! I was given a tender mercy though and was asked to be the assistant camp director. It was this last Thur - Sat. So much fun! I also got a spiritual renewal and have renewed strength to stand and do my best to follow the savior. We go to Camp Lomia where I went as a young girl where I believe my own testimony began. A very special place. This was Shay's 1st year too! I watched tears streaming down her face during testimony meeting and couldn't help but feel immense joy knowing she believes too! Shay had an absolute blast but is moving into that mom your embarrassing the heck out of me stage so please don't come so too close.

Our mortal experience is designed to test what we really care about, what we really believe, what we really want to become, and how we really feel about our Father and His Son.

In all of living, have much fun and laughter. Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured. Gordon B. Hinckley
I feel certain that if, in our home, parents will read from the Book of Mormon prayfully and regularly, both by themselves and with their children, the spirit of that Great book will come to permeate our homes and all who dwell therein. The Spirit of Reverence will increase; mutual respect and consideration for each other will grow. The spirit of contention will depart. Parents will counsel their children in greater love and wisdom. Children will be more reponsive and submissive to the counsel of their parents. Righteousness will increase. Faith, hope, and charity- the pure love of Christ - will abound in our homes and lives, bringing in their wake peace, joy, and happiness
Hi! my name is Yvette. My husband, Mark, and I have been married since July 1994. We have 4 kids: Derek, Shaylyn, Adam, and Matthew. We are thankful for our little family, but sometimes they try us to the utmost ends of our patience. I suppose it's all good, though.
